Giles Sonnier & The Bayou Idols
. . . are a swamp rock band hailing from the Acadiana region of southern Louisiana, also known as Cajun country. Led by singer-guitarist, songwriter Giles Sonnier, their music is an amalgam of many contemporary styles such as rock, blues, country, folk, jazz, R & B, and gospel, combined with the indigenous strains of cajun, zydeco, swamp blues, and swamp pop. They deliver their music in a raw, energetic, and down-home fashion, as the band members exude a sense of fun and enthusiasm during their live performances.
